# Get a remittance's 835 as JSON

> Retrieve a fully reconciled remittance as structured JSON.

Returns a remittance as structured JSON: the payment, the payer and payee, every claim with its service lines and adjustments, any provider-level adjustments, and the settlement that paid it. Use the `id` from [List remittances](/docs/api-reference/list-remittances).

This is the JSON sibling of [Get a remittance's 835 (ERA)](/docs/api-reference/get-remittance-era). The 835 endpoint returns the same remittance as raw X12 for systems that consume EDI; this endpoint returns it as JSON for everything else. All amounts are integers in cents.
