# Share documents with Lemma

> Securely share requested documents with Lemma.

The settings menu includes a [page for securely sharing documents with Lemma](https://app.getlemma.com/_/settings/documents). Use this page instead of sending sensitive business documents by email.

EOB processing and EOB-to-835 conversion are separate workflows. Read the [EOB processing guide](/docs/billing/eob-processing) to learn how Lemma parses EOBs, reconciles payments, and creates 835 files.

<Badge color="yellow">Accounting and owners</Badge> Accounting members and owners can upload documents and download previously uploaded files. Read Only members may view the document list, but upload and download controls are blocked for them.

## Share a requested document

1. Open [Settings → Your documents](https://app.getlemma.com/_/settings/documents).
2. Select a **Document type** that matches Lemma's request.
3. Click or drag a file into the upload area.
4. Wait for the success confirmation.

You must select a document type before the file area becomes active. The accepted file types and maximum size are shown beneath the upload area.

## Review shared documents

The **Uploaded documents** section lists the document name, type, and upload date. Accounting members and owners can click on a document to download it.
