# Canvas Medical

> Lemma integrates with Canvas Medical to post reconciled remittances to matching claims in your EHR.

Lemma integrates with Canvas Medical so reconciled remittances post to the matching claims in your EHR. Once Lemma matches a payment to a claim, it can write that posting back into Canvas, so your billing team does not re-key payments by hand.

## What Lemma does with Canvas

* **Matches remittances to Canvas claims** using the parsed claim-level detail.
* **Posts reconciled payments** back to the matching claim in Canvas.

## Connect Canvas Medical

You need your Canvas instance URL and the API key for the Lemma plugin installed on that instance.

    Install the Lemma plugin on your Canvas instance and generate its API key.

    Provide Lemma your Canvas instance URL and the plugin API key. Lemma stores
    the key securely. Never paste it into a support message.

    Once connected, the **Canvas Medical** card on your [Integrations
    settings](https://app.getlemma.com/_/settings/integrations) page shows as
    connected.

## Where the data shows up

Reconciled payments post to the matching claim inside Canvas, and the same remittances remain visible in Lemma's **Payer Remittances** table for your records. This gives your billing team one reconciled view in Canvas and a full audit trail in Lemma.
