# Stedi

> Lemma integrates with Stedi to pull 835 remittance advices and automatically reconcile your remittances.

Lemma integrates with Stedi to pull 835 remittance advices (ERAs) and reconcile them against your claims automatically. Lemma reads your ERAs from Stedi, parses the claim-level payment detail, and matches each remittance to the corresponding bank deposit.

## What Lemma pulls from Stedi

* **835 ERAs** for your claims, read-only.
* **Full claim-level detail**: Lemma parses payments, adjustments (CARC), and remark codes (RARC) from the raw 835.

## Connect Stedi

Stedi does not issue read-only API keys, so a member with the **Operator** role in Stedi must create the key.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create an API key in Stedi">
    An Operator in your Stedi account creates an API key for Lemma.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enable Stedi for your entity">
    Lemma enables the Stedi integration and stores the key securely. Never paste
    the key into a support message.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm the connection">
    Once connected, the **Stedi** card on your [Integrations
    settings](https://app.getlemma.com/_/settings/integrations) page shows as
    connected.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Where the data shows up

ERAs pulled from Stedi appear in the **Payer Remittances** table with a Stedi badge. Because Stedi delivers true 835 files, every remittance carries the full EDI detail: you can open a payment to review each claim's adjustments and remark codes, and download the original 835 from the remittance detail view when your EHR accepts ERA files directly. Confirm the matching deposit on the [reconciliation](/docs/billing/reconciliation) view.
