Lemma gives every entity you run its own bank accounts, lockbox address, and cards, then reconciles the insurance payments that land in them against the remittances that explain them. Banking services are provided by Core Bank, Member FDIC.

Start here

Quickstart

Open your first account in about five minutes. No branch visit.

Collaborate on onboarding

Ask a business partner to fill in their own details, without routing sensitive information through you.

Own multiple entities

Every entity its own account, all under a single login.

What you can do with Lemma

Deposits that arrive reconciled

Your lockbox scans and matches EOBs on arrival, so insurance payments land already tied to the claim they paid.

Every account in one place

One account per entity and one view across all of them, with balances and transactions updating in real time.

Money that moves on your rules

Free ACH, RTP, and FedNow transfers. Set a sweep threshold once and balances rebalance themselves.

Invoices you send and can track

Bill your own customers, and see each payment land against the invoice that earned it.

Built for your whole team

Owners and admins

Decide who sees balances, who moves money, and how much approval a transfer needs.

Billing teams

Move your payers over, let remittances parse themselves, and close the month out of one system.

Engineers

A REST API over accounts, transactions, transfers, and remittance data, with webhooks when things change.

Programs that come with your account

Deposit bonuses

Earn a bonus on every dollar you bring over, across every account.

Fixed-fee loans

Borrow against insurance receivables you have already earned, at a flat fee.

MSO-PC compliance

Keep management company and professional corporation money cleanly separated.

Frequently asked questions

Lemma assigns each entity a unique mailing address. You point payers, such as insurance companies and patients, at that address. When mail arrives, Lemma scans it and shows it on your Lockbox page. Paper checks are deposited into your linked bank account without you endorsing anything, and Lemma’s AI parses EOBs and other correspondence for claim data. Read the Lockbox guide for the full walkthrough.
Lockbox mail is $2.00 per envelope on Multi-Entity and $2.50 on Single-Entity. Checks are deposited into your linked account, virtual cards from payers such as Zelis are charged for you, and EOBs are matched to your open claims. Converting an EOB to an 835 file is free. See Lockbox auto-parsing and the pricing page.
Lemma Multi-Entity is $50 per entity per month, and your first month is free on every plan. Lemma Single-Entity is $0 per entity per month, and Healthcare Systems is custom priced. Multi-Entity adds cross-entity invoicing, API access, onboarding support, and guardrails and permissions drawn from your agreements. See the full pricing page.
No. Transfers between entities linked to the same login are free, instant, and available 24/7. ACH, RTP, and FedNow transfers are free on every plan. Wires are $15 each. See Transfer within Lemma and Own multiple entities.
Each legal entity, the MSO and every professional corporation, gets its own application, accounts, and lockbox, all under one login. Lemma records the physician on file for each PC and locks that owner’s access so no one can lower it, including the MSO. If you send your management services agreement, Lemma configures guardrails to match it. Lemma configures banking controls and does not provide legal advice or guarantee compliance, so confirm what your structure requires with healthcare regulatory counsel. See MSO-PC compliance and Set up an MSO and its PCs.
Yes. No approval rule can stand between the physician on file and the practice’s funds. Owners can approve requests they raised themselves, so the physician can always move practice money and stop a sweep without asking the MSO. Every approval is recorded with who gave it, which leaves an audit trail showing the physician controls the account.
You define a rule once: which account to watch, how much to keep, where to send the rest, and when to check. Lemma runs it on a weekly or monthly schedule. A target balance sweep sends everything above a floor you set, and a fixed amount sweep sends the same amount each run. Sweeps can move money between your Lemma accounts for free and instantly, or out to an outside bank by ACH, RTP, or FedNow. Each run moves up to $100,000. See Cash sweeps.
Start with a manual invoice for the first month or two. The MSO sends an itemized invoice with the management services agreement attached, and the PC’s owner approves it, which builds a documented record. Once the fee is stable, move it onto a monthly sweep so it runs on schedule. If the fee varies, for example a percentage of collections, stay on invoices. Billing between two entities requires the Multi-Entity plan or above. See MSO management fees.
Yes. An owner sets a dollar threshold per payment rail, and any transfer above it is held until an owner approves or rejects it. Rules cover ACH, wires, transfers between your own accounts, and mailed checks. While any rule is active, creating or editing a cash sweep also needs an owner’s approval. See Approval rules and User roles.
