Onboard your entity’s in 5 minutes

Sign up

Go to app.getlemma.com/sign-up and create an account with your email address.Open the confirmation email from Lemma and click the link inside to verify your email address. You will not be able to log in until your email is confirmed.

Fill out the onboarding form for your entity

Head to app.getlemma.com/onboarding/new-application. Since you’re opening a bank account, we need to know a few details about your business:
  • Business profile: business legal name, EIN, state of incorporation
  • Control person: name, title, date of birth, address, email, phone number
  • Beneficial owners: anyone with more than 25% ownership stake, can be the same as your control person
This information is required for regulatory compliance (Know Your Business). Your data is encrypted and stored securely.
Need details from a business partner? Share the onboarding application with them. Your partner can fill out the onboarding form directly without sending sensitive information to you.

Submit your onboarding application

Most entities are approved within a few hours so you can start using your account right away! We’ll email you when your entity is approved.In some cases, our banking partners are unable to verify your identity from your tax ID alone. If that happens, we’ll reach out to request a scan of your government-issued ID.
Managing multiple entities? You can submit multiple applications while waiting for them to get approved. Once you’ve submitted your first one, visit app.getlemma.com/onboarding/new-application to start another.

Once approved

When your entity is approved, Lemma sets everything up for you automatically.

Your checking accounts

Your checking accounts are created and ready to use as soon as you’re approved. Head to your dashboard to view balances and transactions. Your account and routing numbers are available on the accounts page. Click into any account and you’ll find both numbers at the top of the page, ready to hand off to payers when you update your electronic payment information.

Your lockbox

Your lockbox is provisioned instantly. See your lockbox address in your dashboard’s lockbox page. You can immediately start sharing your address with payers and clearing houses. Learn more in the lockbox guide.

Your team

Onboarding collaborates will automatically have access to the entity’s dashboard. You can invite additional team members for free. We support limiting user’s access, for example, when you want a billing team to have read-only permissions.
